I have tried to publish my background video in a few different module positions but cannot get it to display. I am not sure what i have to do to get this to work.I followed the documentation and dont think i missed anything.

About your problem as in the ticket, I change position of module and bg video working fine now. So please check your site again.
Now you can see the video. But some background of template over on it. You can fix it by style css.
