file Video is cropped

My video is cropped even though in the backend the default settings for width and height are AUTO. This happens for both full screen and module position. The subtitles at the bottom of the video are cut off from this crop. How do we display the original aspect ratio of the video?

Hi coolios,
Thanks for contacting us and choosing our product!
About your question about ratio of the video. JUX Background Video auto detect the wrapper element and calculation to fit the element. So If you want to keep original ratio of the video maybe it will not fit of the element anymore.
However can you pm me your site url? I'll check and feedback to you asap!

Hi,
Thanks for your pm.
The video will auto calculate width and height of window to fit the screen. That's why it will zoom and cut a part of the video.
You can fix it by following steps:
Step 1: Go to path {root}/modules/mod_jux_background_video/assets/js then open file jquery.ms.YTPlayer.js
Step 2: Go to line 1150 and change code from:
vid.marginTop -= overprint / 2;
to
vid.marginTop -= (overprint / 2+100);
You can change 100 to other to fit your site.
Hope this help!

I have the same issue. I followed these direction, though I only found a file jquery.mb.YTPlayer.js and the code referred to was on line 1572 instead of 1150, so I hope I edited the right place. Anyway, when I change the numbers, all it seems to do is move the video up or down. I'd also like to disable the cropping feature. What am I doing wrong?

Yeah I cannot seem to get the video to not zoom in. I am using a background image that is the size I want the video to be at as well. Would like it for when the site loads the background image which is an image of the firs frame that when you see the video start you cant tell that the video started because everything looks the same size.

Hi, Revolio.
Thank you for using our product
Frist, I'm sorry for reply late, can I lost this topic.
Background video only supports background image when you use on iPad, iPhone that replaces for your video work on PC.
Current, our product doesn't support an image shows before load video.
I will note your idea and report our Developer. They will study this problem, if can update this function, we will update for last version.
Thank you so much for empathy,

Best Regards,
Huyen Tran
