Nice search box in main menu?

Hi there.
I have an issue with the search box.
The idea is to have the seachbox incorporated IN the main menu.
Currently I have inserted the module in the mail menu.
But this is NOT the way I want this. The idea is to have the search box without the magnify glass. Just the search box, where the users of this web can straight type the text. which is not the case now. Just a eleptic box where the users can type straight away the keywords.
The end result I am looking for is this

Furthere more if you look closely you´ll see 2 times the searchbox. Not sure why this happens as the search module is only published only once
Where did I go wrong with this?

Another thing wich is quite annoying. I have already published the searchbox in the mega menu and it shows up 2 times. One time in the mega menu and in some position ( i belief). But in no position is the search published.

Bassicly I see 2 issues
Issue 1:
The idea would be to have a fixed searchbox with a white background
Now when you click on the search the menu moves.
How can this be fixed?
Issue 2:
As far as I can see the search box is only published in the main menu position.
But for a strange reason the search box shows up beneath the main menu.

Can some one help me out with my 3 issues please?

1. Why is the search box double published?
Please see the image in my thread

3. Algo would like to have a white background where the users can type their search.
My template provider says that this strange behaviour is caused by the megamenu. And has noting to do with the template

I see that you where able to make the searchbox with the withe background and it doen´t move any more. Which is greate and for which I am very thankfull.
so a big thank you for this.
But in the home page for as far as i can see there are still 2 boxes visible. Just checked with FF and Chrome.

It seems that it is ok, now I see the "minor" conflict with the template you mean.
Now my cuestion is the following.
Is it better to leave the custom code where it is or is it better to move this custom code to
/mystyle/custom.css to make it upgrade safe?

Hello again.
As usual I spoke to quick. Please see the attchached image. Here i still see a small conflict.
As you scroll down on the home page on the right hand side there is still a space which overlapses the text with a white box

Feel free to see the home page and see for your selfe, especially on the right hand side of the page where you´ll see a which box wich covers the text.
Can youo have one more (and hopefull last) look, please?
