I like the look and feel of the extension but the images in the half and full width gallery layouts are distorted. I would greatly appreciate it if that can be fixed. I would like it even better if a packery layout would be possible there.

We can add a masonry layout for the full-width gallery layout. But please check the grid layout again, it also works fine.
