Menu is not consistent with Firefox, Chrome, IE11 and Edge

Developing a website with jux_megamenu, Plethora template, and Joomla 3.5.1.
Menu is not consistent with Firefox, Chrome, IE11 and Edge:

• Menu text color varies, black on some (good), grey on others
  Depending on user screen width, a black area appears on the right side
  Changing drop-down column widths no longer has any effect, some too wide
  Entered sub-text for one item, but it no longer appears when editing the module
Can the text size be increased?
