Hi,
after installing the mega menu for virtuemart 2.0.6 I tried to set a module-position.
But whenever trying to open the module in backend, this Json decoding error occurs:
"Error decoding JSON data: Control character error, possibly incorrectly encoded"
What can I do to prevent this error?
Thank you in advance.
Kind Regards
Heinrich Gerull

Hi Heinrich Gerull
Thank you for feedback us
I tried to figure out the problem for you for several days but I do not know why and I think the problem is due to data base because when you install it has encountered some error, I uninstalled and reinstalled for you and everything worked,
Please check again, If still having problems, please contact us, pleased to assist you

Hi HaiND,
thank you for checking the mega-menu module.
I tried to publish the module, but then the JSON-error appears again.
I reinstalled the mega-menu and everything is fine until I try to assign a module-position and publish it.
It keeps saying "JSON-error".
Could you please check once again?
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards

Hi, It's not related to one website. I installed it on a 3rd website yesterday and it happens again. There is something wrong with the installer. When I copy the settings from the database from a website that has the module working to a website with the module newly installed, I can get it to work.
So when you install your module, it doesn't properly save the JSON data to the database. You can just try to install the module on a fresh joomla installation and I'm sure it will happen to you as well. (latest version of module and Joomla of course).
