it is set to 644. So it should be readable. We just restarted teh server. So this was just the casxe perhaps when you checked. Could you pleas try again.

where do you buy hosting Just contact them and they will guide you to customize this, I cannot know how you are using hosting so we cannot guide you to customize htaccess

It is a normal plesk-server and the hosting-partner says that they don't know either and the developer has to say this. To be honest, I can't find anything on the net either.
