It appears that the latest Joomla Or Regular Labs Library update broke the timeline. Sections can no longer be expanded/collapsed by clicking the +/- button.
Applies to: Joomla 3.7.4, Regular Labs Library 17.7.17782
Solution: Installed and enabled jQuery Easy which solved the problem immediately
