Hi, I want to use the fa fa home font awesome only. If I turn off the title Home it removes the fa fa home symbol also. Do I need to use the link feature instead?

Actually, if you disable title, the font awesome will be removed also, not only our product but for every Joomla menu modules. It's regulation of Joomla to set up menu. You can use title without font awesome, but once you want to use font awesome, you have to use title also.
