Cannot Set up Width or Columns - MegaMenu dfoes not appear the same as the instructions

I have tried to follow the instructions to create multiple columns on 1st sub menu but the documentation does not match. The options in the docs are not available.
I have a category with 40 sub items that I need to divide into 4 columns of 10.

The instructions make reference to the left and right arrows, but when I select a submenu item and click on an arrow nothing happens. Also I cannot see options for width, or other configuration options as shown in documentation.

Just cannot figure it out!

I have figured it out now. Some of the options only appear when I followed the instructions more closely. Thank you!
