Menu SmoothScroll script which is causing things to scroll on page load

im using modals by peter at nonumber for a splash page on the website... when you click on the "x" to go to the website it automatically scrolls to the bottom of the page. i had peter take a look and he has said that there is a Menu SmoothScroll script which is causing things to scroll on page load...

can you take a look and let me know how i can fix it

when you go to the website and click the x on the splash page the page scrolls to the bottom due to a script with the menu.
