How to change colors

How do I change background, it looks nothing like demo site. I have a gray background behind pictures that runs 100% horizontal and blue header and white buttons.

About your problem with jux portfolio I checked your site and you can fix it by follwing steps:
Step 1 : go to path {root}/modules/mod_portfolio_assets/css/ then open file style-full.css
Step 2: go to line 49 and comment 2 lines below
border: 1px solid #e6e6e6;
background: transparent url('../images/white50.png') repeat center top;
Step 3: open file settings-full.css and go to line 176 comment this code
border: 1px solid #e6e6e6;
background-color: #fff;
I see you are using old version of portfolio! Please upgrade to latest version!
