Link icon appear even when there is not url

I have some pictures that have links and others than not. In older versions I used to leave the item link blank and the icon won't appear, but now still there and when I click it reloads my website.

The icons totally disappeared! But even if there is not icon, it has a link when I hover and it goes to the main website.
What I would like is this:
In the graphics of logos, a + icon that shows the image bigger
In the graphic of websites, a link icon that goes to the website page.
It was like this in the previous version of the portfolio that I had.
