Menu Trigger

1) How do I launch the Vertical Menu from a standard menu item instead of the burger icon?

2) How do I launch the Vertical Menu from a button item instead of the burger icon?

3) How do I l change the Vertical Menu icon instead of using the burger icon? I was told to change the icon, please go to this file:

modules/mod_jux_vertical_menu/tmpl/default.php line 44 and change to your svg icon - I do not see what I need to change exactly..help with this please? I tried to change " www.w3.org/2000/svg " to a new icon page on the local server, but nothing changed.
