about Cache Mode

Hi there,

I am using Nootheme News template.

Our hosting company warned us that there are too many files under public_html/media/k2/items/cache/, he suggests a solution is to set "Cache Mode" to OFF. But when I check "Cache Mode" under Global Configuration --> Cache Manager, I see it is already OFF.

Please provide some help here. How to avoid pictures go to one folder, the files are piling up there so quickly and it will exceed the limit soon.
